Web Project/Reflections

As the process of the web pages unfolded I was quite apprehensive, to find it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.Setting up the web pages in FrontPage took far longer than in Freewebs, although the FrontPage application seemed more user friendly. I wasn't able to insert my pictures into Freewebs as easily as in FrontPage. I wasn't able to change my Web Page title like I could in FrontPage. And it appears as though I lost my navigation buttons in Freewebs unlike FrontPage. There are just a few things I haven't ironed out in the Web 2.0 application that I need to address before the presentations, but I'm sure all will end well. All in all FrontPage, although more time consuming, seemed more user friendly.Looking back over the last seven weeks, I can't believe I managed to complete this class with my sanity intact. I came into this class without any experience at all in any of the concepts we learned, yet managed to come out with new found knowledge that I will be able to apply. One of the aspects of my job relates to Health & Safety and recently I was informed that a Web page was being designed within the companies intranet and that I would have complete autonomy with its design and layout. In addition, after working with newsletters I have come up with the idea of establishing a company Health & Safety newsletter. Prior to this class I more than likely would have never even thought of this idea and now with my new found knowledge I believe I can make a difference with my new tools.Thank you so much for your patience while I struggled through this process. Without your help I would not have succeeded. Of all the instructors I have had so far, you are my first 10.Again, thank you.Lisa McNally
